Wall-e is endearing, lovable, and in the end, the best part of the movie. I just wish the rest of the cast had been robots too. A fat, lazy robot would have been more funny, and a robot rebuilding a discarded world doesn't need humans to deliver the funny & poignant message of conservancy.

Room #2 in this assisted living facility has three beds. The one next to the door is Emily's home. Emily--(in a whisper) I'm losing my voice, then it will be my eyes. I'm ready to go, but you can't push it. (...) I didn't dream I would end up like this, but at least I'm not sick. Multiple Sclerosis. There is no pain. They don't have to inject me with drugs. (...) I got it when I was 28.

I've heard say that falling coconuts kill about 150 people a year, so I had a coconut falling (mightiest of seeds), and I thought of writing "Look-out below!" but the drawing was too empty for my taste, so in came the supporting actor, the crab: Humorless, fearless, a force to be reckoned with.
